In line with its global com-mitment towards developing health conscious home appliances, LG Electronics recently launched its sophisticated healthcare range into the Nigerian market. During the exclusive media launch at the Silverbird Galleria, Lagos, state-of-the-art appliances like the LG NeoPlasma Plus air-conditioner were showcased.

Equipped with a 12-level bio enzyme filter that enhances purification and sterilization capabilities, it is capable of removing dust particles as small as 0.1 microns while sterilizing disease pathogens. 

Also launched was LG¡¯s Green Ion Door Cooling refrigerator  equipped with the green catechin deodorizer which filters out moisture, bacteria and odour thereby preserving food to be fresher and last longer. The direct drive washing machine which comes with a baby care function that uses high temperature washing cycle to be removed.  

 In the view of General Manager, Digital Appliance division, Mr. D.K. Son, LG Electronics recently pioneered a research called the LG-Synovate study where it was established that health was one of the biggest concerns encountered by customers.

 Further, Son said one of the significant discoveries that emerged from the research was the finding that technology can help prevent problems in the areas of nutrition and general health. He opined that a majority are keen to adopt new technologies that would dramatically improve hygiene in their environments and reduce illnesses from unhealthy surrounding while homes and offices are primary breeding grounds for respiratory and infectious diseases.
